Happy Birthday to my Dad!

Today was my Dad's 58th birthday!! We went for lunch and then took him shopping for some presents. I always love hanging out with my Dad, there is always lots of laughs and great conversation...and my kids love to see their Papa.
These are some pics we took at Easter this past year. It was nice to get a picture of my Dad with all three of his grandchildren and one with my brother and I.

Today is my Mother in law's birthday. With the help of a friend, I made her this layout and framed it for her present. She has no idea that I got this picture of her from her husband and I really hope she likes it!!

Random thoughts

So I watched the Miss Universe pagent last night and it was so amusing. First of all Heidi Pratt was horrible. It looked like she took lip sync lessons from Shania Twain and dance lessons from an elephant....eeek!! Next up, I found myself wondering if the poor host (who was small) was feeling bloated and overweight standing next to those girls.....wowzers they were extremely skinny! And then finally to top it off, the former Miss Universe dropped the crown right off the new winners head....graceful!

I wish it was Wednesday....Dog the Bounty Hunter is on....now thats T.V!!!! :-)

New layouts

The first one is Sarah and her beautiful cousin Daniella who we got to see in Nanaimo this summer. They live in the USA so we don't get to see them much. The girls hit it off and were inseparable for the entire time. The next one is my daughter and toothless grin. I was so sad to see her two front chiclets fall out!!

Sooo much fun!

We went out to Wabumun Lake today to see our friends Jeff and Tanis. Max got a ride in one of Jeff's "mighty machines" and he was so excited!! Thanks Jeff for making my little boy so happy!

This is my favorite summer photo. I took this picture while we were in Nanaimo at a place called Pipers Lagoon. Sarah couldn't wait to get her feet wet. She really is "MY BEAUTY"

Soooooooo Tired!

Just had to share.......this is what camp does to a 4 year old!!!

One more day!!!

Tomorrow is the last day that my kids are going to camp. One more day of being alone. It sounded like so much fun when I signed them up to have an entire week to myself but by this afternoon I was missing them like crazy!!! When I picked them up, Max said, "Mama I sure missed you today" and Sarah said, "me too"!! Needless to say this made me feel much better.

I HAVE THE BEST KIDS IN THE WORLD!!!

Here goes nothin...

Well I've finally decided to start a blog. Hopefully this will be a much better way of connecting with friends and family rather than posting everything on Facebook.
A girl can only talk so much on facebook and everyone knows.....I LOVE TO TALK!!!

This week has started off really quiet for me. Max and Sarah are both in summer camp all week so I have from 8:30-4:30 all to myself. Well, let's see, I am 6 hours into the first day and I already miss them like crazy! Clearly I am going to have to plan my day better tomorrow so that I don't sit around thinking about them all day. I can't wait to hear how much fun they had at camp today!
