Fun Night!

Yesterday was the most amazing day. I won tickets on CISN to Doc Walker and a meet and greet before the concert. For those that don't know, I went to elementary school with Dave (from the band) and highschool with both Chris and Dave. Normally I buy tickets to the concerts but I thought that my husband was going to be out of town and I wouldn't be able to go so I never bought any. Things changed and he was here so I tried and tried to win the Doc Walker trivia contest on the radio....and I did!!!
I met up with an old friend from back home (Rachel) and went and had a visit with the boys on the bus before the concert. It was nice to catch up. I took my daughter with me and she had so much fun. She got a cute little tshirt and got the guys to sign it. You seriously would have thought the Jonas Brothers signed her shirt the way she pranced around in it last night and when she wore it to school today!

I also got to see Rachels son Marcus for the first time since he was a newborn. (he is 13 now) He was such a sweet and funny boy...just like his mom!
The concert was incredible, they get better every time I see them!
Happy Monday!

Happy stuff!

Happy News!

My good friend Lynnelle gave birth to a baby girl on the 15th. Baby Niyah was 7 pounds 4 ounces but came into the world 3 weeks early so her lungs weren't fully developed. After spending some time in the NIC Unit, I received a call today that she is off the oxygen!! Yeah Niyah..I am so proud of her for being such a strong baby and I am so proud of Chris and Lynnelle for being amazing parents and extremely happy that big brother Tobin will soon have his little sister at home.
Here is a pic of Niyah, she has the most amazing, beautiful skin and she is so incredibly beautiful...I can't wait to hold her!!

Next up, I get to go home to Portage on Oct 3. My favorite Uncle in the entire world has cancer and his daughter is having a benefit social to help his family deal with medical costs from having to fly to Toronto for treatments. I am excited because I get to see family but sad at the same time because its not a very happy reason to go home. Here is a picture my Uncle Blaine posted on his facebook of him in Toronto checking out the sites on his last trip.

Last night I had a hot date with my friend Carmel. Our "thing" is to go to concerts together so last night we went to Keith Urban. We always meet at Sicilian Past Kitchen for dinner and then go to the concerts stinking of garlic..its awesome!! Carmel is one of those friends that we don't see eachother a lot but when we do its like we haven't skipped a beat!

Needless to say the concert was amazing and the company even better! Can't wait until the next one! Love ya Carmel!

That's it for now!

What's up at the Gardiner house!

Busy busy busy!
I am desperately trying to get back into some sort of schedule now that school has started but I am not doing a very good job at it!
Lets start with Sarah......
She is in piano once a week (first one I forgot!) and swimming once a week. Last night we went and checked our Karate and she has decided that she wants to join as well which will be great exercise for my little tv-aholic! School is going great for Sarah, she is an amazing student and she loves learning....if only I could get her to wake up in the morning!
Max is in pre-school twice a week and will be starting skating lessons and hockey next month. He has also decided to join karate which will be good for him because he is a nintendo Ds-aholic! Normally the kids aren't allowed to join until they are 5 or 6 but when we tried it out he was so well behaved (and as big as the 5 & 6 year olds) that the teacher is allowing him to join.
Quentin has recently started his own accounting practice and it is doing extremely well. I can already tell how much happier he is being his own boss!
I, myself am busy being a chauffeur and housewife/mommy and I wouldn't have it any other way!
Life is good!

Yikes!

Now for the other kid.....

While Sarah and I had a Mommy/daughter day, Max got to hang out with Daddy and Grandpa fixing cars in the garage. This is what he returned home looking like!!!

New hair!

After months of begging her father, Sarah finally got to cut her hair today! She has been asking to cut it short "like Mommy" and today she got her wish. Instantly she looked so much older and it almost made me cry. When we got into the car after her haircut I said..."Sarah, you look so grown up it makes Mommy want to cry" and she responded with..."well go ahead and cry Mommy, there is sad music on the radio". What a kid!! Doesn't she look sweet?

The first one is Sarah playing at the park in Nanaimo.
Next is Max and his Daddy in Parksville...my two favorite boys!

The last one is Sarah and Nana snuggling at the park in Parksville. My kids have the best Nana in the world and love when they get to have snuggle time with her!

Happy Anniversary!

Well we pulled it off! Yesterday we hosted an Anniversary party for our friends Joel and Leslie. The hardest part was trying to come up with a plan to surprise them and we succeeded! The look on their faces was priceless, many tears were shed, and a good time was had by all. Great food, lots of laughs and just seeing the permanent smile on Leslie and Joel's faces made everything worth while.
I will post more pics of the actual party later but I wanted to post a pic of the layout I made them as a gift.

Happy 10th Anniversary!!!

Time to catch up

Well where to start.....
School is back in as of today...summer went by way too fast! Hard to believe my Sarah is in grade 2. She was so excited this morning and very eager to have me leave the classroom so she could start learning!
Max started his second year of preschool yesterday. He really didn't want to go since most of his buddies moved on to Kindergarten but once he got there he was ok.
