Couple more!

I am on a roll since I moved my scrap room upstairs!!
Here are two more layouts I did this weekend for an online crop at www.apileofscrap.ca!

Another one down!!

I finally finished this layout for my friend Lynnelle. The pictures were taken 4 months ago when her daughter was born and was on life support. Lynnelle found it too hard to scrapbook these but still really wanted them in her album so I offered to do them for her. I wanted to make it "pretty" to take away the sadness of the pictures and I think it worked!!

I am also happy to report that baby Niyah is a happy, healthy and beautiful little girl. The title "tiny fighter" really suited her. Here's hoping she likes it.

This is sweet Niyah today!!

Happy Birthday Carter!!

At this very moment, 8 years ago, our friends Leslie and Joel were just hours away from welcoming their first born into the world. It's crazy how time flies. I remember meeting Carter for the first time when Sarah started going to the same dayhome as him. I will never forget those huge, gorgeous blue eyes looking up at me and the sweetest little voice saying "hello" on Sarah's first day. Little did I know that years down the road, our families would share in some of our best memories together and that Sarah and Carter would become the greatest of friends!!
We are so excited to share in some fun tomorrow for Carter's birthday. We are meeting at the World Waterpark at West Edmonton Mall, doing some mini-golf and dinner after. We feel so lucky that Carter chose to spend his day with our family instead of having a birthday party with friends.

My birthday wish for Carter is that he just continues to be the most kind, loving and happy young boy that he has always been. You are a great kid Carter and we are glad that you are a part of our lives!!

Happy 8th Birthday Carter Tomlenovich!!!

My daughter!

Since the day she was born, my daughter has been the sweetest, kindest, sensitive and most loving child. We really couldn't ask for a better daughter to have.
I asked her to make her Nana a belated Birthday card (yes we are almost a month late) She sat down in my craft room and spent about 2 1/2 hours in total perfecting the most AMAZING card. I just had to share it with you because she did it all on her own and it just shows what a beautiful person she is!! (and how much she loves her Nana)

Have a great day everyone!!

Back to reality!!

Life is finally getting back to normal around the Gardiner house after an amazing family vacation!! Sarah is back at swimming lessons, Piano and Karate and Maxwell is back at hockey, pre-school and Karate.
I have been busy de-cluttering my house and putting it back together after having ceramic flooring put in while we were away.
I was so excited to scrapbook with some friends last weekend and I managed to get a few great layouts done. I can't wait to start scrapping my Disney photos......I just don't know where to start!

Here are the layouts I finished.

The card says "You are changing right before my eyes"

I have to change the 6 to a 7, since it was her 7th birthday!

This was Sarah when she was 3...so sweet!

Disneyland 2010!!

We decided to take our kids to Disneyland for the last 3 days of our California vacation. It worked out perfect since it is only an hour and 40 minute drive from Palm Springs to Anaheim. (and what an amazing drive it was!)
I am so glad I convinced my husband to go. (he hates crowds) '
I had always dreamed of going to Disneyland and when I was growing up I was so jeleous of the kids that got to go because I knew that my Mom just couldn't afford to take us. I have to admit the first day we got there I got kind of choked up because I couldn't believe that I was there and I felt so blessed to be able to take my kids.....thanks to my wonderful husband.
Disneyland is sooooooo magical and it makes you feel like a kid....even at 34 years of age!
We had a great trip and 3 days was definitely enough for the Gardiner family!!
We went on every ride that we could have and saw as many characters as we could find. My kids walked miles and miles everyday without complaining; all in all it was well worth it.

Christmas in Palm Springs

We decided to spend Christmas in Palm Springs, California this year. Quentin's brother and his family own their own place there so it worked out great. His parents joined us for the first 6 days and then after that we were on our own. We spent Christmas day by the pool and still managed to fit in a fabulous turkey dinner thanks to Shana and Craig!
It had to be the most RELAXING family vacation we have ever taken and we can't wait to go back again!
I sure missed my Mom and Justin and Tara on Christmas day but it was nice to not have any of the stresses that go along with the Christmas season.

I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas!!

This is a self portrait.....the scenery looks fake.....so amazing!!!
